Psychology of the Performing Arts (PoPA)

In 2006 Peter Lovatt set up a course in the Psychology of the Performing Arts (PoPA) at the University of Hertfordshire. PoPA is one of the most popular option courses on offer in the School of Psychology and it was the only course to be Highly Commended by the British Psychological Society at their most recent validation visit.

PoPA is an applied multidisciplinary Psychology course and it covers topics such as Stage Fright, Improvisation, Personality, the Psychobiology of Dance, Dance & Drama Therapy, the Psychology of Magic & Humour, the Psychology of Music and Celebrity Worship.

Use the navigation links on the left to read more about each of the individual lectures. I will add more lectures as the term progresses.
