Why do you Dance?

In this study we simply want to know why people do or don't dance. You will be asked 1 question. Why do you dance? You can answer the question by writing a few words or you can write and write and write. It's up to you.

Do you dance Kathak or Bollywood?

In this study we are looking for people who dance Kathak or Bollywood.  You will be asked questions about how frequently you take part in Kathak or Bollywood or other dance forms. We then ask you 10 questions about your personality and then a series of questions about how you feel about yourself. If you would like information on this study we will send it to you once the project is complete. Please send an email to H.1.Amin@Herts.ac.uk

Dance and Attention
In this study we want to get you moving in an improvised way. Ling Ling Tai and I lead you through a series of improvised movements. The music and movements change every 30 seconds. You can do it on your own or in a group. The picture shows me and Ling Ling moving like rockers. Relax and have fun. If you want to take part in the study then click on link 1 below.  If you do this you will be asked to fill in a short questionnaire both before and after taking part in the 10 minute Dance Improvisation Workshop. You need to allow about 30 minutes in total. If you want to just watch (and perhaps join in with) the Dance Improvisation Workshop on youtube then click link 2 below.

Calling all Salsa and Ballroom Teachers

In this study we are looking at what Dance Teachers get out of teaching dance. We are interested in hearing from you whether you are a full time teacher or if you teach part time, perhaps alongside another job or role. Do you teach because of the money, or are there deeper needs being fulfilled? We invite dance teachers from all over the United Kingdom to fill in a questionnaire. The questionnaire takes between 10 to 20 minutes and can be accessed by clicking here.
